Biogas Demonstration Digester constructed at CARD’s office based on Plastic Tubular Biodigester Technology. This is a low cost digester meant to be adopted by the low income earners among the Kakamega Community.

School Tree Planting Project ongoing in 16 schools in the Kakamega Municipality. Over 3000 trees have been planted in these schools.
CARD is currently fundraising to scale up the biogas project in an effort to save the Kakamega Forest and improve the livelihoods of the communities adjacent to the forest.
CARD is a non profit organization and has applied to the Kenya Revenue Authority to be exempted from taxes.
CARD in its effort to save the environment, has teamed with the Kakamega Municipal Council to supply and plant 1000 seedlings of indigenous trees for beautification of the town and an effort to increase the forest cover in Kenya.
